Timber & Tide is a local IT asset disposition company. We take retired equipment off your hands, and we can prove what happened to it.
The name
Why Timber & Tide?
Timber is what gets built and rebuilt. Tide is what carries things back out. Nearly everything in a server closet is somewhere on that cycle: still useful to someone, or ready to be broken down into the material it came from.
That's the whole business, honestly. Figure out which of the two a given machine is, and treat it accordingly instead of sending the entire pallet to the same place.
How we work
Three commitments.
Nothing undocumented
Every device is logged on intake. If we can't account for it, we don't take it.
Reuse before recycling
Shredding a working laptop destroys value and creates waste. We test first and remarket what still runs.
Honest quotes
If your load has enough value that the pickup should be free, we say so. If it's mostly CRTs and it's going to cost you, we say that too, before we schedule.
